What the F are the colors of those P bass'?

Back looks like maybe aged charcoal frost - but never seen one that dark. And looks really uniform/not worn

And way too dark for Sherwood, imo. Never seen a Sherwood that dark either.

Then the one on the right - I assumed ocean turquoise ... but it doesn't look metallic. Would an 80's Miami blue bass really be up there with those vintage instruments? Even so - doesn't really look like Miami blue and looks like it's aged.

Any ideas?

The pickup selector switch is also made out of aluminum (I will post a closeup tomorrow).
The Switch itself and the nut are pre CBS.
If you don’t mind sharing, Where did you find/source the aluminium switch tip???

I will … if I ever find out again. Problem is that I bought it about 15 years ago.

Very cool guitar. What's the bridge on it (in case I missed)?

Would love some kind of aged white pickguard, but that's just me.

Latest update is that I got a Belrok Bridge in January and it definitely stays on there.
This bridge gives the Guitar some special fast attack - almost like a Jaguar.

The Belrok matches the space age hardware perfectly, did you drop it in the original thimbles?

this is such a great build / restoration of an old body

Thank you! A perfect match indeed.
Yes - into the original (vintage) thimbles. Not an exact fit but good enough (for me). :freako:

In the meantime someone locally sold a set of 2nd hand Monty's Jazzmaster '59 Pickups . Yes, please!
Such pickups usually do not pop up 2nd hand around here. This set got wound in 2021.

Oh, yes! These are soo nice sounding.
I scored a used set a few years ago for € 100,- could not believe it...
This set has been sitting in my No.1 Jazzmaster for a while now and never looked back!
