I have also read mixed reviews on Mr Jenny's work. I guess one man's caviar is anothers salty fish eggs...
I'm no rush to get this finished, but I would like it done right.
I'll start a new thread with some pics when I find my camera

Re: Vintage Finisher
I've just heard they (Lays) have finished my '65 Tele body - it was a humbucker route repair and refin back to it's original firemist gold and mild relicing so it doesn't look brand new. I think it took around 8 weeks. I was lucky as they were about to do a batch of firemist which is why mine 'jumped the queue'.has anyone actually used lays yet?
Will post pics when it arrives.
Yes the cat has opposing thumbs and extra digits.

Re: Vintage Finisher
Exactly! He simply just sprayed over my damaged, grainy, stripped bare body!!! It looks absolutely awful up close with every single scratch and flaw showing through the paint.dain wrote: i agree about mjtelecaster.com. he's a nice guy but i don't think he prepares the wood the right way before spraying. it definitely wouldn't fool a vintage guy. you can see the run of the grain through the finish, its not flat at all like a real finish would be. has anyone actually used lays yet?
