Update; F tuners arrived, drilled holes for the neck screws and musicmaster bridge, shielded (probably overkill, but looks a bit nicer than the hacked up nightmare it was). Pickguard is a little odd fitting, but whatchagonnado. Soldering today

Looking at this I feel as excited as any kid in the '70s who couldn't afford a Strat or Tele. Whatever Dad did - or you end up hiding, the vibe of that thing just shines through everything.

Update- finished the resto, but got a little sidetracked by the unexpected early arrival of our son! Here's my other new child. Pickup successfully (if messily) soldered, cavity shielded. Plays well, though a pro setup would probably help. Feels just like my 66 Mustang.All in all, a successful first project...
