Re: Electric XII project
totally!
Johnny Cash would be proud!!
I'm kinda stuck on the guard issue..I am ANAL about good tortoiseshell...I will look for a nice vintage replacement...but that will take time...I thought about a temporary nitro white replacement from pickguardian, but it seems that his guards don't have the 4 dots in the 4 pup selections like the vintage guards.....
Vintage guard as example:
maybe a small drill on the pickguardian guard would expose the black second level, and give me the 4 pup position dots?
if anyone has a guard like the one below, please PM me....

I've got the guard off of my Maverick right now with all the electronics removed. Let me know if there's any thing you need measured.

Re: Electric XII project
would you mind taking a VERY clean shot of the rotary switch? if you can move the connections away as best you can it would be savage.
Need some XII pickup covers....

Re: Electric XII project
it's looking very good so far Yannis.. I must admit I'm very jealous right now! :-\
sorry about the guard.. I did my best with it but I guess there's only so much you can do when it is what it is, I probably shouldn't had bothered but I was hoping there'd be a nice surprise underneath that old haze.
can't wait to see how it turns out, I'd use a very small bit with your fingers when those position dots, it'd probably be very easy to overdo it otherwise

it's cool man...at least that guard is the weirdest XII guard out there!!
I can't wait to get it put back together.....it was a mistake to play it before taking it apart to refin...but I couldn't help myself!
there are various friends of mine in bands that wanna try it too....maybe this will start an XII trend in bands across London!!

it's looking great...it's been curing for just over two weeks now....nearing the three week mark.
it's lucky that I have been way too busy to think lately...otherwise I would of started the sanding/assembling!
I think it'll be finished in about a week to ten days....
