Watching Doug snatch this thing up and turn it from what it was to what it is now in less than seven days (Ended: Sep-23-07 10:55:40 PDT  Now: Sep-29-07 10:41 PDT) is totally UNREAL.

Actually, that pic of it in the box was from yesterday. I opened it up and didn't stop until it sits as it is now... waiting on the neck. And that includes taking the pics and posting in the thread.

I'm off to buy strings. I could conceivably be playing it as early as tomorrow! The neck was shipped Priority....

This thing is going to look beautiful!

I'm guessing it won't be a Yannis finished guitar? It's going to be all shiny and whatnot. ^-^

Thanks guys!

Shiny? Yes but I want to do a very mild relic on it. To me, the corrroded hardware and such won't look right on a "new" body. I'm going to try to do it right;  strip, fill, sand smooth, yellow dye, seal, primer and paint... all as thinly as possible. But then I want to check the finish. As for dings, I'm sure they'll arrive by themselves somehow (I'm clumsy).

Wow, this is coming along really well.

I think I agree with light years that I'd prefer to see oly white on this one .. that guard just looks like it wants a light colour with it.

I've pulled my sunburst '62 almost completely to pieces today, so I know how much fun you're having!
