Yeah, that's so true it's scary. You should actually put them on ebay and see if anyone's stupid enough to bid.

I did a pull apart on my 64 that arrived last week just like you did here, but I haven't taken pics yet.

I know who to come to for questions! :)

ARGHHH!  The neck is here.

The postman left the notice, but I got it too late to go pick it up.

I feel your pain. many a time has mr postman evaded my residential presence, and leftone of those infernal notices. I always envision him laughing as he writes out my name, what time he called... it's making me mad just thinking about it!!

;)

at least you know where it is and can get it tomorrow, tho, i guess

Sometimes when I go the next day, they tell me it's back out on the truck for delivery again  (despite the notice saying "available for pickup after 9:00 AM). That's what REALLY gets me mad.

What makes them think someone will be home the next day? We have to work... we're not independently wealthy or anything!

I once had a postman try and deliver something at 3pm and left a notice  "available after 4pm at the local PO"

At 4.30pm I went to the post opffice but because the idiot driver had written the NEXT days date and this the actual date , when I handed over the card, the second idiot at the PO said "you can't pick this up until tomorrow ...  and wouldn't budge....

I found the "men in black"  movies only mildly amusing ....  but pissed myself when they said that aliens work at the PO......  so true
relaxing alternative to doing actual work ...

You're talking about my girlfriend.  She had to quit her job because you kept coming in.

I'm friendly with all the clerks at my local PO, since I'm in there so much.  Usually the problem is not really with them... it's the system. It's a bunch of typical government bullshit and over burdensome regs. Make me feel real cozy about government-managed health care. I've seen enough of that at the VA and the idea of it scares the hell out of me.

:'(

;D    I found that quite funny...

This Jag has an identity crisis!

Yeah, it's too high and too far forward. But at least it saves the MM logo.
And it won't be there forever:

Wow... that's ALOT of wood!

The L plate:

I need to clean the bridge, install the strings, make some adjustments, and I'm ready to go.

I'll be ordering some paint this week....

This neck is in great shape!  It has a lightly checked original finish with some finish wear at the seam where maple meets rosewood (top and bottom). Great frets and a great feel.

Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?
