Potential Cabinet project

Post by Wolfbreaker » Sat Jul 01, 2017 4:02 pm

I'm not exactly sure if this is the right spot to post this, but I'm thinking about building my own speaker Cabinet. I've priced out the speakers which isn't as expensive as I thought it might be. So, why not?

My plan is to use birch ply. I've used finger joints before, but I think this time I'll go with something like biscuits and glue.

I'm going to mix some speaker companies together. I really like Eminence and Jensen. After seeing a company called Party Smasher I think I'll mix the sizes of the speakers.

I'm looking to do it stereo with 2x10's on one side and a 1x12 and a 1x15 on the other.

My question is, Does anyone see an issue with that mixture? OR would covering that frequency span just sound like hot garbage?
