Responses with Pictures

Post by Lame Pseudonym » Fri Jun 25, 2021 8:09 am

Far be it from me to be critical in any way, but when a guy posts pages full of pictures, and every response to his post repeats the same whole pages full of pictures, that is really freakin' unprofessional. If you can't make people stop doing that, and you can't, the site software should thumbnail the pictures in the responses.

I know that I'm criticizing stupid behavior and I know that I'm going to be rained on by the offended stupids, so let 'er rip !!

Your complaint is raised to the power of 1000000 when the offending post is the first response in a pic heavy thread. :D

They're called quote trains and they are indeed extremely unprofessional. But people insist on doing it for some strange reason, even when there are a bunch of images. While some of us roll our eyes and mutter profanities under our breathes before facepalming to complete the full expression of disappointment in our peers, some just wonder... what do.

I ranted about this numerous times. People are too lazy/ignorant/stupid/inconsiderate to trim the quoted text or just don't give a shit.

Now, I'm definitely one that trims down quotes but I couldn't help but laugh a little at this. Are we expected to be 'professional' forum posters now? 😂 What IS a professional forum poster? What's the pay like? How do I apply? Do I get healthcare?

I have a lot of questions pending my formal interview

Since I don't get paid to post, I couldn't care less about being professional.

And, as any fan of the Cleveland Browns can tell you, being professional doesn't mean you won't suck donkey balls like a tweener in Taiwan.

If it’s right under the OP, I agree. But downthread I like it, saves me having to scroll back up or, worst of all, back up a PAGE just to see...

Same here. And sometimes, I just like seeing again downthread to remind me of what's going on. Also offset porn! :w00t:

I guess it is easy to misconstrue the word professional in this context, it is just a more neat way to leave your mark on the forums. Culling unnecessary text from your posts to avoid having people scroll for days past redundant text/images. Also if it doesn't bother you either way then why even post here, to complain about people complaining? Isn't that worst when you stand back and look at it? Either way redundant text and images are annoying to some and could be something that maybe could be looked at by admin/mods etc. Even if it was just a suggestion to help reduce it.

It doesn't read as complaining about complaining to me... Just people voicing their opinions, which may not necessarily agree with the OP. If no one were allowed to disagree with anything, forums would be near pointless (well, in my opinion anyway, which you are free to disagree with ;) ).

Dear Sir,

I believe the "S" in BSc is usually capitalized* in professional settings, which this may or may not be. I can't tell.

*or maybe it isn't. Who knows?

Also, the correct formation is "Jobs Blow," not, "Blowjobs."
