Turning off reply alerts for certain threads---how?
How do I "get off" a thread? Is there any way of turning of alerts to a particular thread? Or does one just have to delete all her/his posts? Would that even work?
I don't care so much anymore, but it used to bug me. Now I'm just curious....

Just press "notify" again, and it will ask you to confirm you want to disable the notification.

Yeah, that works, or click the link in the notification email to unsubscribe from the thread.

I appreciate the help, but I guess I'm referring to "Show new replies to your posts." Any way to stop notification of threads you lost interest in when you click that tab?

Ah, ok. No, don't think so. I have a few of those that just sit there. Every so often I press "Mark Read" and start from scratch.

Ya, I would be curious to know too...I lost interest in the "what are you listening to" thread about 90 pages ago...

I guess you could always go back and delete your posts on the thread - that works, but depending on the thread could be annoying for others.

I've done that a few times (gone back and deleted messages to keep a thread out of the "show replies to your posts" category) when I saw that the messages didn't have anything to add contextually (embarrassingly few did!) but I still get the "photos of you and your offsets" thread in that list from time to time.
