Does anyone know why my avatar keeps disappearing? It was fine for a long, long time....6-8 months I guess. Then one day it was gone. I put it back up and a short time late rit vanished again. I have repeated this several times, but every time it disappears in a little while. When it goes away it is replaced by a little white box with a small, red x in it. How can I stop it from doing this?

Are you uploading the avatar to offsetguitars.com or hosting it elsewhere and providing a URL?

That's odd, I've never seen that problem. If you want next time you notice it PM me asap and hoepfully I'll be around to take a look at it.

Well, my avatar stayed for a long time. It got to the point I started thinking I was crazy. However, a few minutes ago it disappeared again. This time I noticed that it happened right after I had used the search function. I had to upload my avatar again. Is this normal?

No. It's not normal. However I use the search function regularly without any issues and I can't see how they could be related anyway.
