Why don't my photos show up

Tried to post photos and all I get is a little square with a cross in it (see below). My originals are on Flickr and I copied the URL and pasted it between the Img brackets as per instructions in the "how to post photos sticky". Can't see what else I can do. Anyone got any ideas please?

looks like you aren't getting the entire url copied and pasted. make sure you're getting the whole thing and it's ending in a file extension (like .jpg or .png)

I haven't used Flicr in a long time, but I remember it have a "Share this" option. Click on that, and it should give you an option to grab either HTML or BBCode. Grab the BBCode and paste it here, check on preview. It should do the trick, unless something has changed in the meantime.

Edit: Yep, that was it. Only now you can find this as an option titled "More ways to share" in the corner below the pic.

If this photo shows up we've cracked it and thanks a bunch guys
OK so I followed your instruction and still didn't work so it turned out the BBCode they give you has far too much information in it and you need to trim it away to leave just the http blah blah blah.jpg part which is not obvious at all but hey I got there which is all that counts. So thanks again.
