British offsets
Saw a few of these while browsing around today. Didn't get a chance to play them, but found two new (to me) brands of UK made guitars, each with very pretty offsets. They've both got their own takes on things rather than just being Jazzmaster clones which is always nice. Thought people here might be interested to look:

Yeah, I like the Gatsby myself. Also, PJD makes everything they make as a lefty as well! Massive props to them in my book for that!!

Re: British offsets
Revelation / Entwistle are another British offset, although maybe a little more derivative than the above two ....

New-ish guy building offsets at the link below too -
very interesting. Look to be pretty good value. The world needs more demos though!

Re: British offsets
Those PJD guitars are excellent! Did a trade show and was next to those guys a few years back and as well as making great guitars they were really nice people. Well worth the money I'd say.

Re: British offsets
I’m reallly tempted to order a 24” scale, 9.5” radius Gatsby with chrome humbuckers. Blue with single ply black scratchplate.
I have a KC Jag that rarely gets used. In fact, I rarely use anything except my squier CV Tele & a Mustang with a twangbanger in it. I sort of feel I don’t need to spend £1300 on the Gordon Smith.
Should I?

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Re: British offsets
If you want to try one in person to make your mind up, the shop I saw them in is in Southampton and they have a couple in stock. (They've both got chrome P90s, but should still give you an idea of how they feel physically to play.)sal paradise wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 1:41 amI’m reallly tempted to order a 24” scale, 9.5” radius Gatsby with chrome humbuckers. Re: British offsets
Did we have this one already?
It’s - if at all - only slightly offSet - but I like the pickguard and the pickups!
It‘s a JHS/Alan Entwistle reissue of the Rapier 33 that came out by Burns, Watkins and by some other brands in the 60s...

The white one is kinda cool!

I’ve just ordered a 24” Gatsby myself.
Now I wait 16 to 18 weeks for it to be ready and shipped to me.
Exciting times!
