CME Pacific Peach Player JM
Just saw this and didn't see it posted yet so wanted to share. Really like the color a lot. Kind of that aged fiesta red / coral vibe. Love that it is route for a traditional set of JM electronics. I think my only holdup would be the medium jumbo frets, but some people will like them.

One of those rare instances where I'd go with pearloid pickguard. Really like the color, but wish it was a little more faded and less shiny.

Gotta say I really like 4-way blades with series. I've said before I think this CME configuration is what the decimated-switching Am Pro (I) JM should have been ... more consistent with the Am Pro jag that had the 4-way (as also does the Marr jag). I notice Andertons is now also selling several versions of these (the olive green and the black).

Great colour, but I always the truss rod access on a painted headstock looks rubbishy and unfinished.
Probably just some polish in there, but it looks untidy.

The CME Player JMs are all routed for a rhythm circuit. Although exactly which pickguards would be a easy fit is unclear. If you want to keep the blade switch then cutting out rhythm-style controls might be the best bet.

Re: CME Pacific Peach Player JM
The color is pretty sweet, suits itself nicely to a matching headstock.
I would also change the guard to pearloid, also not my usual thing but the white PG + cream-ish plastic look isn't very pleasant.
Also, as everyone here has their own silly ideas of what's right or wrong on Fender guitars, I'll add my own and say that tuners should be either vintage split-shaft Klusons or locking, no reason to have those ugly square buttons and posts which will have unsightly string-ends poking through them at the first string change

They always are. Unless I'm building something for someone, I won't use them anymore. Slider and rotary switches are my jam now.

If these had the same 4 options on a rotary swtich with the XII lever thingy it would be the perfect aesthetic choice. And the kachunk of a rotary switch is really satisfying to interact with. The pickups and switching options on the Olive CME one I picked up sound great, but that blade switch, ugh. I'm sure Fender just has an infinte pile of blade switches from Strats and Teles and pulling from that parts bin is so easy.

Not my favourite feature either. As soon as you put an allan key in there, the paint chips right off.tequila_in_teacups wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 6:51 pmGreat colour, but I always the truss rod access on a painted headstock looks rubbishy and unfinished.
