Yeah, it's Paulo_ray on here, from the UK. He doesn't post much but visits regularly. He should, at the very least, come in and take a bow :D
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Just wanted to highlight from the before and after since my project finished up. This tort is very dimensional and lighting greatly plays into how it’s viewed. Very much like vintage tort I’ve owned.

The first pic is in window sunlight. There are no image enhancements. The second pic is what MJT sent after assembly. Much like a good finish on a guitar, the light will make different areas pop at different times.

Holy cow, that's gorgeous! Bummed to find they don't have any available on the site.

Thank you, yes. A true hero of the tort world. Hope he continues making them!

I want more eventually

OK it's time to shut down the board. True tort has been found. No need to obsess any more. We can all go back to the partners and cats we've been ignoring for the last 15 years.

So... are they running out of business or just stock? Nothing for sale at this time from Lavaguards, Spitfire or AvantGuards?

God damn, that looks great on blonde over ash. If my 59 thin skin doesn't sell I might have to grab some tort from them.

Paul posted on instagram that if all goes according to plan he should be making Lavaguards again early next month.

I emailed Spitfire (Mark) and asked if he was still taking orders. He said they are up and running but revamping the online ordering so I suspect he'll be open again soon too.

I just got a Lavaguard for my AV65 Jaguar today. Really transforms my Jag and just what I was hoping for. Attached are before and after pics.

Oft, aye that looks really class with the lavaguard man. I’ve got a sunburst AO60s JM and I’ve considered changing the dark tort guard, think I’ll shout the boy Paul from Lavaguards, see if he can square me up.

I've clearly been under a rock. I think these look every bit as great as Spitfire.
