I'm loving some of the new colours Gibson are squirting out. Olive green etc.

I'm still waiting on a Jackson from NAMM 2020. Sometime last year they told me another 30 days, but maybe they meant another 30 weeks.
All pain and troubles melted away like lemon drops beyond the contrails across the sky.

Re: If NAMM is in June this year
I think it's significant that there haven't been any new colors from Charvel since 2019. There have been a couple of new models, e.g. the San Dimas basses, but they used to refresh the colors every year. That was kind of the whole thing with Charvel under Fender management.
In late October I took delivery on a Mexican-made Charvel I had ordered 11 months previous. It had a 2021 serial # neck plate 18xx, indicating that they had made fewer than 2000 instruments to date that late in the year. This is a perfectly ordinary blue strat. Guys expecting exciting new Fender products or exotic reissues in 2022 need to understand that the Ensenada facility is insanely behind on even bog-standard bread-and-butter production stuff.
There are guitars in the Player line that Long & McQuade (one of the largest instrument dealers in North America) hasn't received since early 2020 and which they are not expecting to see until this summer at the earliest.
Your B&B surf green JM with painted headstock, pearloid scratchplate, and black pickup covers is not coming this year if they can't even make enough Strats and Teles to meet demand.

These sound gorgeous. Hopefully we’ll get some more leaks or official info soon. Player series Meteroas would be really cool to have too.MayTheFuzzBeWithYou wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 4:04 pmI only saw a glimpse of it and only one out of two colors. It was described as Mystic Dakota Red (with Tort Guard and Blocks and a matching Headstock - for a red guitar it looked amazing!) I guess it will have the neck binding too but I couldn't see due to low resolution. The other color was described as mystic Lake Placid Blue and the Ultra Luxe as Texas Tea Burst (but I didn't get a pic of them... but there is already an American Ultra Strat in that color).
Here’s my big q—how long do we think the current Vintera models are still going to be around? I’ve been itching for that turquoise Jag and don’t want to miss out, but now this 60th anniversary also sounds like a very nice potential option instead..

Man how in god’s green ass did you not get a screen grab come on dude do you know where you are right now
God damn would I love to see these pictures, but since I can’t, and this is kinda goofy admittedly, but can I ask, were the blocks the right size or like the Squier CV Jag ones? All I’ve ever wanted was a legit 66 reissue in LPB and if we trust this stranger then it sounds like I might get my way on that. CANT FUCKING WAIT

Well, the pics were mobile phone screenshot of a computer-monitor level-blurry. So really bad and useless to determine details. And he took about 5 Meteora screenshots (I did see a Strat-style vibrato on one) and one single pic for the Jag(s) - red depicted as described.Mechanical Birds wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 11:59 pmMan how in god’s green ass did you not get a screen grab come on dude do you know where you are right now
First thing I did was check Fender‘s site to take better ones myself but I couldn‘t because I had no access and in between asking for a link, they were gone again already.
The fretboard was dark (so hopefully Rosewood and not Pau Ferro) and the price tag hints on US made too (2490 or something).

No idea by the way.

I’m more mad at this stranger who took and posted seven pictures of the meteora I’ll never understand why anyone gives a shit about that guitarMayTheFuzzBeWithYou wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 12:43 amWell, the pics were mobile phone screenshot of a computer-monitor level-blurry.
