Only other pic I can find is this one:
(which makes me annoyed, because I don't like maple fretboards and this is the finish I'd probably prefer)

I really like the meteora body shape. It is sadly not the best looking with a Fender round headstock for me though. (In my opinion.) I have used a Peavey headstock with my two and it fits the pointy body way better.

I could be totally off here, but looking at the pickups again and looking at the Player Plus Strat, I’m wondering if these might have the same humbuckers that sit in the bridge position of those Strats and can be coil-split. Would also make sense if these are being billed as part of the Player Plus series and Fender also calls the pickup in the Strats the “Player Plus Humbucking Pickup.” If these Meteoras have two coil-splittable humbuckers, that could make them pretty interesting and versatile guitars.

I don't get peoples' fascination with active pickups. I can't stand them.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

Does work better as a bass.

Also here’s some extremely not scientific Photoshop evidence I threw together for my theory:
The Meteora overlays perfectly over the PP Strat humbucker, while the WRHB in the Vintera Tele is clearly a good bit larger, sitting as wide as the pickup mounts are on the Meteora.

In case wires are getting crossed with these posts, the bass pickups ARE active humbuckersryanthellama wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 4:48 pmThe Player Plus humbuckers aren’t active pickups. You can coil split pretty much any humbucker, though some (like the PP pickups) are specifically designed to sound better if you do.

I'd play that for sure, reminds me of the old Blacktop series basses with the massive humbuckers.

That Cosmic Jade green is the nicest color I've seen from Fender in 400 years.
And, like some others here, that shape looks way less goofy on a bass for some reason. No idea why, but I can't stand the guitar version of this shape. But I'd totally own/play the bass version (provided it came in Cosmic Jade, of course), no problem.

Wow these are stunning. Excited to see my cool split theory was correct too. Only wish the cosmic jade had a maple neck like the Strat and Tele!
