We're now into December, and also the knockout stage of our festive guitar-off!
Polling will be open for 5 days in this stage (I'm aiming to finish at about Xmas itself) and all four quarter finals will be in the same poll as with previous tournaments, with dots used to separate the match ups. Group winners will face group runners up.

v Team VIII

and X-Ray Spex's purple Jazzmaster

Re: OSG Xmas Xtravaganza: Quarter Finals
A great success for groups A and D, with both qualifiers from each progressing to the semi finals!
Bowing out at this stage are an orange (or Fiesta red?) Mustang - a modified Coabin? Anyway, whatever it is it's cool. Also departing from team VIII is a Firebird that's giving me GAS.
Team IX bow out here, but have the consolation of a strong win in Group C with an ever popular xii and the aluminium necked Jazzmaster - a veteran of at least one other tournament and always seems to do well. It is a thing of beauty and I can see why.
Team V - winners of group B - were beaten in the closest contest of this round with an interesting and unconventional pairing - not a Fender to be seen, which added some nice variety to the contest.
Finally we say goodbye to Team XI's non-offset pairing. Both beautiful guitars, and I expect they would have gone further in a less offset focused forum.
Congratulations to our semi finalists, commiserations to those defeated, and I'll get the semis up probably tomorrow.
