Fender Vintera II Leaked?

Sick, I'm probably getting one next year.

How does the colour look from side-on?

It's a darky and rainy day today so natural lighting isn't ideal. The sides are pretty dark, even with my home office/mancave's overhead lights on. When I get a brighter and drier day, I'll take some photos of the Mustang outside.

Not sure if previously mentioned but I notice the stripes are fatter and are at a steeper angle covering more of the body. Weird fender wouldn’t do vintage correct.

I can see the angle is different. It's interesting that there doesn't seem to be much consistency of placement of the stripes based on the location of the back-end strap button.

Doesn't bother me at all but I understand why it would for vintage sticklers. I'd be the same way re: clay dots on an early '60s reissue Fender guitar (why I really love the AV II '61 Strat & AV II '63 Tele got done right).

That colour is fabulous isn't it! I'm actually pleasantly surprised Fender went for that colour as it seems like a fair bit of work to get it right.

If anything, I think the Vintera stripe placement is nicer than vintage. Follows the angle of the forearm contour better.

Thanks! Yeah, I bought that specifically for the FSR purple Tele I got in a trade. I was overloaded with Teles so I moved it on in a gear purge. When it came time to pair a strap with the the Vintera II '70s Mustang, the blue-purple strap seemed ideal. I also have a few Fender comp stripe straps - two brown straps with cream comp stripes (on '63 Jaguar and Squier 40th Ann. JM Vintage Edition) and a black one with red comp stripe on my Johnny Marr Jaguar.

And I'm curious which vintage stripe placement Fender was supposed to copy for this Vintera version. These look great to me and I kind of wish I had held off on buying an Orange comp stripe Squier Mustang a few months back.
