Last month it was a Chibson ES125, This time it's my first offset, a 2007 sunburst MIC Jagmaster. Well, most of one.
It came without a bridge but I noticed only last week that I have a spare Strat bridge in the goodie-box. It also has a fugly big string-clamp behind the nut that's going to take looong walk.
I'm not a fan of humbuckers except older Firebirds (and whatever's on my friend's Gibson Chet Atkins) but I will listen to these SD-designed ones before deciding their fate.
I could either replace the pickguard to suit Jazzmaster pups or use the original and stick some HB-sized P90s in there. Seems a wiring overhaul is a smart move, too.
Or get esoteric and try a modern WRHB in one position and the P90 in another ... or maybe a Gretsch-style something ... choices, choices!
Gotta love those freebies!
NGD: another freebie - offset content!
