I like the look but that shade of 'gold' plating they've opted for looks really cheap. Doing hardware in that 24k gold always looks kinda gaudy compared to a slightly muted 18-22k. In my opinion, of course.
I like the black Mustang. Pop a parchment guard on and you have full tuxedo.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Hideous.

The black and gold one, yeah, no I’m not too big a fan either. I didn’t see those until just now actually. I was talking about the ones on pg. 2. The black B&B Jazzmaster and Jaguar look so sick

I’m seeing “gloss urethane” on the specs on Fender Japan’s site

I somehow totally missed these. Basically the perfect combo for me, if only it was nitro and a little more in the green spectrum of OTM. Needs just a hit more yellow in my opinion.

I could see how it’s a bit too lake placid blue

Funny as the Fender Japan OTM 20 years ago was a super vivid/bright version compared to AVRI/65/Vintage.

It’s so insane that a brand new MIJ costs ~$1,000 and the Vinteras are like $1500 now
Goddamn I wish I had money I’d be buying like 4 of those guitars right now

I assumed it was when I first saw the picture!

Agreed. I've had 2 of the old 90s/00s OTM Jags and they were very vivid/obvious. Maybe they're greener in real life, turquoises are notoriously hard to photograph because of actual science.
