Just wondering if pics of this manual would be of interest to anyone,or are they quite common? It came with my '62 and has a little stamp 'A1' inside the first page(meaning first version maybe?)
I can take pics of all the pages and post them here if anyone wants to see. It'll have to wait untill tomorrow for the daylight to get all the text in focus.

actually, scanning them at 300dpi and putting them up here would be even better.....that way people could print out high-res versions of them....dunno if it's possible, but it would be cool

No, they're not all that common these days. I got like $150 for one of them on ebay not long ago... and more than double that for one I sold along with the neckplate (that matched the number penned inside). I only mention that to show the desireability of it, I'd hang onto it if I were you...
It's a cool little accessory!
Edit: come to think of it, I think the one I sold with the neckplate was a different style, it was a little two page booklet actually shaped like a Jazzmaster!

it just came in the case when i bought the guitar, seller didn't even mention it.would be nice to think it's been in there the whole time.
This one doesn't have the neck plate no. written in,it just has 'A1'(stamped) then '5,6' (in blue biro) then what looks like'cn' or 'co' in pencil.
i'll get the pics up then. i haven't got a scanner but i'll ask around.Would be cool to scan a totally mint one though, this one is mint apart from that little tear on the front page. Then people could print out their own little booklet to go with thier guitars (that might be taking the obsession a bit far though
