there are a few similar guitars to the jazz/jagg. the saturn 63 by eastwood is very jazzmaster like and semi hollow the dipinto galaxys are nice too

The SX SJM's are pretty good if you don't care too much about quality http://www.rondomusic.net/jjpistolssjm62.html
And of course there's the Squier Jagmaster, which os good for Rock music

Actually those Rondo SX things are a steal.  The only thing I upgraded on mine was the tuners, and I worked on the action a bit.  Pickups are real nice, and the trem is quite good.

For sure,a Jagmaster is cool.... .if you mod it,but stock it's a piece of shit!
I got one and i put vintage strat bridge,DiMarzio PAF HB and a Jag P.up on it,then wired it as a Jazzmaster with phasing.I tune it to
D - D# - A# - D# - G - G and its sick.Having said that I am modding it further into this.HERE
