How do you figure that? Its just a Mustang with  a JZ trem which would play exactly like a mustang until you touched the trem, there wouldn't be any difference in playablilty what so ever and I'd have a trem I actually like to use.

It wouldn't play like a mustang. It would be more slinky. And plus,  why even bother? why not just play a jazzmaster or jaguar?

It would play like a mustang because it is a mustang!
The minor differences would be:slightly less sustain and a kick ass trem.

I do play Jaguars and mustangs and I'd like a combination of both.....but i don't like the Jagstang at all,and why go with the norm anyways as life would be boring as hell if no one made new things.
I mean its not a hard thing to do - buy a 68 or later duosonic2 with 24'' scale neck (it is a mustang basically), a Trem  from a jz  and a TOM and then rout for it,DONE!

Anyway, each to his own but saying something is shit cause YOU don't like it is just plain arrogant, you may not like it but it certainly doesn't make it shit.I  would totally like this guitar for the musical abilities it will have, thats why i bother.

I've gotta say I'm not a fan of routing (or any other irreversible modification) when it comes to vintage Fenders, even if they are student models ..

Yeah, but there is that many  of the musicmaster family (mustangs, duosonics, musicmastesr, broncos)guitars around it's not really a big deal, and they are cheap!
If i was stating I'm gonna hack up a 58 Jazzmaster then fair enough. 8)

Not for long, if this keeps up! They're already being raped pillaged and plundered on eBay by the thousands...  :(

Why not just get an aftermarket body routed just the way you want it? It would save an original and probably be cheaper.

Or use a vintage body thats already been routed for HBs or already dicked up in some way...   ???

Oh for sure,I'm definitely not going to rout out a mint duo sonic or anything.I'll find one that totally NEEDS a refin and is routed for a HB or something like that.As for a body...I don't much like new Guitars and i would much prefer an original even if it's fucked. In a way I'm lucky that it's the Musicmaster family that is my fav's cause i couldn't afford a heap of vintage Jazzmasters like i can these.
But in the end a guitar is a tool and nothing more, sentimentality is stupid...i play cause it's who i am not what i am. :)

I don't agree with this opinion but, strangely, I respect the hell out of it... ???
One more guitar, then I'll practice!

Rewind 5-10 years and you've got about the same thing everyone was doing to Jags and JMs before they got expensive.

Back then the quote would have read:
Yeah, but there is that many of the 58 gold guard Jazzmasters around it's not really a big deal, and they are cheap!

Touche! :)

But ultimately I don't give a shit,If i could afford a heap of 58 Jazzmasters I'd be modding them too because I want the guitar to play right for what i need it for rather than just look the part but sound all wrong.Fact is I can't use stock guitars no matter how expensive they are,I need to give it it's own personality to be happy creating music with it.
I don't even own a un-modded guitar actually, and I never know what I'll do to each guitar until I've played it a while.....then I know what it needs, but one things for sure and that is the fact that I'd never put a router to a 64-78 Mustang, 58-75 Jazzmaster or 62-75 Jaguar,I'd only change electronics and pickups etc cause I like these guitars and if they've lasted this long i really have no right to cut it up.

Having an opinion makes me arrogant?  Or is this just one of those "if you cant say something nice, dont say anything at all" kind of deals?

If thats the case, im sorry that i hurt your feelings.

itll play just like a jaguar, its the same scale lenght, same neck, just the body is a little different.  The only big difference will be the pickups.  I like it.
