I immediatley thought of Kurt's jag when I saw the original  post, also that site's got from great Jag pictures on it

I love Kurt Cobain's jaguar.  He smashed quite a few of guitars including his beloved 1969 Lake Placid Blue competition mustang.  But this one made it throughout his career.

The fact that Jaguar survived his whole career is one reason why I like em'.  Kurt slammed that one around quite a bit, spilled cantelope juice on it, and through it all it was still going all up till the end.

i'd kill to get my hands on one of the Kurt signature japanese models... those things are badass.  i saw one up on ebay once... $2500.  too rich for my broke ass

He apparently had two 60's Jags, but I've never seen a picture of the other one.

That's actually the same jaguar guitar as the one pictured above, his main jaguar.  The photo just makes it look like the chrome plate isn't there...but it is.  I have more pics from the this show that show the guitar more clearly.  I haven't seen any pics of him playing a different jaguar in concert.

I wish I had a copy of the old MTV Special "Tribute To Nirvana" or "Tribute to Kurt Cobain" or whatever it was called, because I swear I saw him using a Righty Jag or Jazzmaster in some live footage (might've been a lefty or the 66' Jag under strange lighting) for SMells Like Teen Spirit on there.  It might have been the second Jaguar.  It was REALLY long ago (10 years or more), so I don't remembe r, but the guitar looked to be blue with big white pickups.

Naw, it looked to be from 1991, plus it looked to be more the Jaguar's size.  I might have to seek out that vid someday, see if I can figure it out or post a pic, allthough I rememered it was either that or it was some other show that used to show early in the morning too that I saw around that same time, that was going through the decades of rock history (50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's).  During the 90's they went through the decline of hair metal and covered pretty much the high point of grunge.  It kinda sucks that I can't remember what that other rockumentary was called, as there were quite a few offsets shown in it.
