I've bought two guitars from Japanese music stores, a Jazzmaster (as seen in my avatar) from Ishibashi, and a black Tele Custom 72 from Nagano and both came with the thin gigbags. They were packed really well, though, and arrived quickly to the US. No customs duties in the US, which is a bonus. The prices are pretty good, certainly better than I've seen on ebay, for lefties at any rate.

Love the look of that pearloid pickguard on the CAR jazzmaster. I actually hadn't seen a picture of it until now, but I have seen it in my head for weeks, and decided on getting one when I order my CIJ red jazzmaster with blocks and binding soon.
