it is just about the scale, I've played everytime with 25.5 Scale Necks, when I play on Jaguar or Mustang I lost my feeling especially after the 10/12th Frets.

I thought Jag pups were hotter than JM? I agree about the smoothness. I think either way works, just depends on the music.

No doubt, JM pup are the hotter Fender single pickups.

I'm getting a jazzmaster soon, and I want to know what overdrive would be good with it. I'm currently using a Skreddy Mayo with a Strat. Would the Mayo work well with the Jazz?

Yeah, that should work great! IMO, Big Muffs and all the derivatives thereof sound really, really great with Jazzmasters (and Jaguars too)

. I use a ZVEX Woolly Mammoth a lot of the time and it sounds nice too. I'm drawn to really bottom heavy fuzz pedals though, so my opinion might be a little skewed

haha, i'm also one who favors bottom heavy fuzz pedals! Jeez I can't f'n wait till I do get my Jazz. They really are beautiful guitars.

Dude, my JM through Big Muff on the low input of my amp with a little bit of treble boost is Corgantastic.
