Re: I now have a Jaguar HH
As you can see, I leave the new jags unmodded.
The old JM and Jag were refins before I bought them in 1989, but I didnt care since I got them for 275 each. The old Jag came with an original tort guard which I removed and saved, and replaced it with a mint guard. I also have a white guard I used for about 17 years, but it was a single ply and I wanted a double which the mint one is.

Re: I now have a Jaguar HH
Yes DB I really like them. I get hours and hours of pleasure out of them playing them and just looking at them.
I am really glad I got them.
Anyone who buys Jags and JMs is bound to be happy about it.
The Schecter in the background is a baritone as well and it was only 250. The Huntington Lace is a cheap guitar (left background in back of the old Jag) that has lace humbuckers and sound really nice. I have an assortment of really good guitars and some cheapies. I like to mod the cheapies or just fix them up and sometimes I give them to kids of friends of mine to start them off in guitar playing. Really puts a smile on their faces!
Thanks.

Re: I now have a Jaguar HH
So loged on tonight to satrt a "what do you think about the Jagaur HH ?" and what is the 1st thread that i see1946dodge wrote: I sped home during lunch today to receive my new "present", a Jag HH.
I opened the box wth unbearable anticipation.
I was delighted.
I spent about 20 minutes getting the damn plastic protective stuff off the pickguard and pickups. It clung to my clothes but I didnt care.
I plugged it in and I am in HEAVEN.
I have to go back to work now, but I can't wait until tonight when I will come home, eat supper and then play this thing for hours and hours.
There are few pleasures in life, especially when you reach 60. So when I can, I indulge myself.
It is so wonderful to get a new guitar - it is like being a little kid all over again and it's Christmas.

CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW BABY !!!

So, i am just gonna "use" your thread as my origenal question

I am looking for an *"alternative" twin humbucker bodied guitar !
*alternative to the regular LP's (i have two), strats (i really do not like 'em), and what not !
I am starting to get a Stoner/Sludge band together - already have a vocalist

So, how do you like the stock Dragster's ?
Are they hot ?
Can you compare them to any other pu's perhaps ?
Do you think they will be able to handle *Fuzz & LOUD amps ?
*Big Muff/Super Muff/Graphic Fuzz & Bassman 4x12 max'ed
Thanx sooo much !

SirJackDeFuz:
The Dragster humbuckers are great. When you play them thru a distortion fuzz pedal they retain a nice tone that is not just one frequency like alot of really hot pickups.
I think you will like a jag hh, but the only way to see is to go to a store and play one thru your stuff.
I run mine thru a Marshall jackhammer, a guvnor, a compressor, and a marshall echo, and also a weeping demon wah and a dunlop rotovibe.
I havent got a bad sound yet - no muddiness, just great tone.
The guitar sustains like a locomotive with no brakes.
But you should try one for yourself, before you buy it and put it thru something like your rig.
And I think it is great for sludge or anything else.

If I get a chance I''l post a bigger pic of it for you to see.
If you mean mine, it is a 64, and I think it is original. If you find it isnt, let me know.I like that Jazzmaster.

The placement of the decal seems a bit off. The whole thing seems to be on an odd angle. At least if it's not original, it won't be such a bad thing to replace, that is if it bothers you. Other than that, I really like it. Looks good.1946dodge wrote: stevenOIf you mean mine, it is a 64, and I think it is original. If you find it isnt, let me know.I like that Jazzmaster.

The decals were applied by a human being, and aren't always in the same places. The pic is not explicit, but what I see looks OK to me...

Many thanx Dodge!
FWIW, my rig will soon be :
Guitar --> small board --> Blues Jr. w 2x12 cab in (((stereo))) with an Orange Tiny Terror w 2x12 cab.
Will also get a bigger amp (Bassman LTD) once we start gigging

Again, thank you for your feedback.

Re: I now have a Jaguar HH
I would suggest to stick with the little amps (if you can), because I have bassman LTD and it is HEAVY...If you have a lot of gigs it is a pain in the a?? for transport and also if you are going to be miked you can't get the tone from bassman because you wont be able to tun it up loud.SirJackdeFuzz wrote:1946dodge wrote: SirJackDeFuz:

Re: I now have a Jaguar HH

Congrats on your new guitar! It looks really great.
I'm gonna have a hard time deciding between a Jag HH and a CIJ OAR Jazzmaster!!
