It's a baritone the Fender custom shop built for him over a year ago with an old Fender VI neck he supplied - and it has the same concentric controls, Dano bridge, and strat jack. I wonder what the story is.
Now if we could get an antiqua finish and a rosewood neck. I'd be okay with that.

I'm not big on the antigua finish generally, but that Dave Gonzalez guitar sounds fantastic.

I actually like the strat jack plate.

The bridge....not so much. My preference would be for a proper Jazzmaster/Jag trem, but I would have settled for a strat trem.

So the other JM color is going to be two-tone burst?

Which one of you guys can make me a gold guard for it? :? :w00t:

I love the old Antigua finishes. Not really a fan of the Japanese reissue rotten banana-bursts.

The Dave Gonzalez guitar looks pretty cool.

The sunburst Jag HH looks nice, not so much the Jazzmaster.

Hate the lack of trem.

Could there be more shown at NAMM?

Yeah that kills it for me too.

The JM would like 10x better. The bridge I very much like though.

Could you just put that out stick some stickers all over it (or tape, it's a squire whatever) and then just route out a new jack where the jack should be?

I guess, but i think it'd be better to fill out the original route, and then put in a jack on the pickguard. if you don't wanna attempt a refinish, put stickers or tape over it. (though at the place on the body, stickers would look best)
