Re: Johnny Marr Sig Jaguar
What amp does everyone like with their JM Jag? I have Deluxe Reverb (silver) and I'm not sure I love it. Sounded better through my old crusty hot rod. I had an AC10 for a minute. Might consider going up for an AC15 or so. Thoughts? Btw, pedals: formula F56 and an iron horse are doing it for me currently. Soul food, too.

Both sound good with a JHS-modded Soul Food, but sound amazing with an Archer IKON.

The Marr Jag I owned didn't react different to my other Jags with the amps I own. A Super Reverb, Handwired AC15, Piggyback Bassman, and Valco 9171A(two Thunderbolts power sections with a single input and separate speaker inputs for each power section).
I do EQ my amps different depending on the guitars I am using, as I will bring out more bass with the Jags, more treble with the ES-355, and running pretty even with the Jazzmasters.

They should just make the Sherwood a standard issue color for the Marr Jag. So, so nice.

Re: Johnny Marr Sig Jaguar

Hi. Newbie here. Bought Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar this week. It's a fantastic guitar.
But I have some problem. The Jag boost volume of my dirt pedals too much..
Regular volume setting of my KOTB when using humbuckers is 11 o'clock. But Marr Jag is about 9 and half.
Same as my other dirt pedals..
I just don't get it. Is it normal?

That seems strange unless you are using the series position on your jag. The single coils by themselves would most likely be less output than the humbucker. But, the series position adds the two single coils outputs together which would likely be more output than your Humbucker. That is my theory anyway.

Hey all,
My JMJag (Oly White) didn't come with an American flag sticker. Anyone know if these aren't MIA anymore?
Thanks!

These seem like an amazing way to get around paying an arm and a leg for an AVRI. Pretty cool honestly

Does it say it is made in a different country on the back of the headstock? Is the serial number etched into the metal 4-bolt neckplate? If the answer is "no" to the first question and "yes" to the second question, it's still MIA, but maybe they forgot the sticker on yours.audiopablo wrote:Hey all,

I have purchased 2, including a sherwood, and neither had the Flag sticker on the pickguard film. I belive it was one of Johnny's requirements that the guitar be MIA.audiopablo wrote:Hey all,

Exactly like you said. So it must be MIA. Great. Now I'm trying hard to resist ordering a metallic KO in less than perfect condition. It's between this and maybe reordering the classic 60s and swapping the bridge pu and upgrading the bridge.

I would like to know what you decide because I am considering the same thing.audiopablo wrote:sunburster wrote:Does it say it is made in a different country on the back of the headstock? I like the 60 Lacquer specs and the color.
