Oddly enough, and to my surprise 2-3 holes were not so properly in line! So I was wondering too, if now Fender Japan uses also US hardware, or hardware with the same measurements/shapes.
I think this change happened around 2018 when they had a big refresh of the Fender Japan line.

Wooo nice!

The heritage series MIJ jazzmasters are excellent guitars - I’ve owned one for a couple years now and it’s been my main gigging/touring guitar.

Granted, I replaced the pickups with AV65s and put in an MIA trem and Mustang bridge, but the overall feel and quality of the guitar are unmatched.
