If you think $200 is a lot for a Fender branded OE hard case for an offset is a lot, try finding a G&G/Fender TWEED for an offset. They exist, but last time I looked I got irrationally angry :D

I'm not sure if people have had generally better luck than me and some of my friends, but of the five SKB hardcases that are in my practice space right now, I think four of them have broken latches and/or cracked corners. I can think of at least one other person I know with at least one (maybe two?) broken ones.

I knew other guitarists with SKB cases, and these issues were prevalent with them as well, and this was in the late 90s

I've purchased this one previously:

ChromaCast CC-EHC-KIT-3 Electric Guitar Hard Case
https://www.amazon.com/ChromaCast-CC-EH ... 06E5K90CQ3

It's not the best hardcase ever made, but it certainly gets the job done, and it's hard to argue with a $60 price tag. I've also purchased the Musician's Gear brand Electric Guitar hardcase before when it's popped up on the Stupid Deal of the Day on Musician's Friend. Also not the highest quality... but to me, it's better than a gig bag. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I've only seen that deal available in the pre-pandemic era though...
I bought one of these very cheap for my Strat and test fit my Road Worn JM for science. It does fit, but just barely.

I would also take it over a cheap gig bag. For any rough handling I’d want something sturdier and with more room around the headstock.
