Fender Japan only have a few finishes on offsets now...FenderBob wrote: I agree also...Fender Japan comes up with some pretty cool stuff. They offer dozens of finishes on some of their jaguars / jazzmasters. FenderUSA gives us about 5 finishes to pick from usually. I believe most of us would be willing to pay a little extra to get the guitar we want in the color we want. Why can't Fender offer more colors options llike they did in the 60's without having to go thru the custom shop?
Black, 3TS, Old Candy Red, Old Lake Placid Blue, Vintage White, Blonde (JMs) and Fiesta Red (Jags)

Id pay more for a good sparkle refin than I would for an original sunburst most days.

I am always looking at the "Ikebe" website, they offer a wide variety of colors on Jazzmasters and Jaguars. I think Fender Japan makes more colors available to certain dealers.FireAarro wrote:

Hey Fenderbob, How about some background on your metalflake Jag. Is it an original finish? Is that you your pointing to in the picture?

Re: Gold metalflake Jaguar
Some those might be leftover stock of discontinued models. I don't know, because some of the models on the Fender Japan site that I'd like (like the competition mustangs or any mustangs in LPB) are no longer on Ishibashi. I wish Ikebe shipped overseas, they had a bunch of really really cheap EBMM Bongo Basses, not to mention the fine selection of FJ stuff.FenderBob wrote:I am always looking at the "Ikebe" website, they offer a wide variety of colors on Jazzmasters and Jaguars. They don't? I bought a pedal from them about six months ago.FireAarro wrote: I wish Ikebe shipped overseas
They may not be shipping the Fender CIJ stuff now, but I'd be surprised if they stopped shipping everything.
