I read an interview with him where he said that he had the pups on the jazzblasters rewound to sound more like burstbuckers. so in a way they are half one and half other. i guess that it does not include the deluxes.
Im sorry I did not catch the sarcasm. this forum can get a little weird when trying to tell who likes and hates what.
Doesn't this look a little off?

i think it looks great, and I'm sure it would sound pretty cool too.

On his recently rediscovered thinline tele (the one that was stolen) you can see that under the brige widerange cover there's a standard gibson style HB bolted on..I don't know if that's was made by the burglars or by Lee..holy-reverb!! wrote: I read an interview with him where he said that he had the pups on the jazzblasters rewound to sound more like burstbuckers. so in a way they are half one and half other. i guess that it does not include the deluxes.

Why not? From an aesthetic or sound standpoint?sonicblue64 wrote: im not a fan of jazzmaster with any different pickups.
I like the look of the stock pickups the most, but there are exceptipns. I built a Jazzmaster with two Telecaster Deluxe pickups because I already ahd three stock 60s models that I use. Yet I still wanted another. So by doing that, I still have the familiar feel of a Jazzmaster along with the trem, but yet with a different sound. Over time the look has really grown on me and now I like the look of WRHBs in them.
