Mine (the one pictured above) was a Spectrum ET-440 from about '69.

As jycphe says, the upper line was great. They're world's above the tulip models cranked out en masse in the 70s.

I have one of those tulip models (the ET-200, I think), and even the pickups on that sound great!

Particle board body, ply neck, every fret falling out, warped pickguard and seized tuners-It was a stinker of a guitar.

But I refretted it, threw on some tuners and made a new PG, and now it's actually usuable.

Does that crappy 60's guitar thing great (since that's exactly what it is!).

I would love to check out some of the high-line models.

£575.00?

That's just more than a retail Sunburst CIJ JM here

$1800 is the price the stores tell you, depending on the place, you might be able to negotiate but not many places seem to want to. $1850 for a sunburst.

It's a lot of money for that teisco. The teisco is a good guitar but not 1300 dollars good. I'm sure it could be had on ebay for a lot cheaper as long as it was from Canada or the U.S.

My new Silvertone is actually a Teisco - they branded a lot of their guitars with the Silvertone name in the late 60s / early 70s.
