I swapped the neck from my SX strat onto my Jagmaster and sold it for quite the bargain as it had upgraded pups and a new pickguard. It was my first guitar in 2004, but it wasn't being played and I needed the extra cash to go to NYC. I don't regret selling it one bit.
Anyway, the short scale neck on my Strat is the tits! It gives it a great bright Jaguar tone. Love it!
I've been experimenting with the Jagmaster neck since '06 when I swapped it with the neck on my telecaster. The conversion necks were made to use up the old unused bodies of the previous model while giving it an almost 24" scale. They're fantastic necks, that's for sure. I sanded mine down to remove the finish, and allowed it to wear-in with use. It's so comfy now.

hm well i guess it is true that jagmasters arent cheap i dont under stand why though the music shop here is selling one for like 170 or something like that. guitar prices are outrageous anymore. someone needs to make some agile esque (price wise) copies of the "other" fender guitars

WHAT?? $170 for a Jagmaster is a steal! They're about $280 now!! Oddly enough, they must have gone up in price: I don't remember it costing more than $240 back in '04.

well i haven been to the shop since like may or so. its generally a cheaper shop. i got my j. mascis jm brand new for 699

steal right? i love how the price has nearly doubled since fender is supposed to be affordable well.... its amazing how a vintage fender price still generally beats the hell out of a new upper level gibson. now a days

warmoth DOES have a 24 inch neck.... under "mustang/jag" they have both CBS and strat headstock shapes, with most of the same options (not block inlays) for neck wood and fretboard.
