I reckon the Mockingbird is already too pointy for me...
Times change. Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky? Now it grows hair! We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger

Yeah, that warmoth isn't nearly as jazzmaster shaped as I would want it to be.

Re: Warmoth Z body - any thoughts guys ?
Not to hijack this thread, but if I had the stones to build my own, it would be a back-loaded USA Custom KORINA jazzmaster body with standard jazzmaster pickups and hardware except no rythm circuit, just a three way toggle. A front loaded with a white or black pickguard like an explorer would be a solid second choice. Man, I've dreamed about that guitar with a semi-gloss natural finish. Can't solder, and can't trust myself to not F-it up as I'm not particularly handy. It would be a thing of beauty though...

May God bless the Banjo Players... They try so hard...

. . . very true, but then again, i do not think Warmoth tried to make a Jazzmaster on Steriods

Also, i did mention that i would like to use it for a bit more Extreme type of genre(s) - Sludge/Grunge/Stoner/Doom !
Not the best shape for BB King Blues or Pat Menthy (sp?) style jazz
