that looks like a Jagmaster with Ibanez Jazzmaster copy pickups!

...and everyone is already playing offsets, they all traded in their SGs & Strats here in P-town hipsterville last summer for Jags , JM's and Mustangs!

That Jazzmaster is actually kind of cool, I like the maple neck. I wonder if the pickups will be like the blacktop neck pickups. Has anyone gutted one? Are they flat wound or strat like or what?

It's really strange, I was thinking the other night before I fell asleep about a possible Squier Jazzmaster and it had the same kinda bridge & a maple neck. I was also thinking about a tele custom strat combo......

Why the strat style jack/plate? Looks like an after thought design wise. either that or most likely they didnt wamt these to be easily converted to a traditional jm/jag.

Love the string through bod and maple neck but just wish they went with an actual musicmaster/toronado style bridge. Not to say I don't dig it... If I find one on the cheaps I may just get one!

all my buddies picked on me for my choice in guitars now everyone apparently wants them? yet without the features that we want them for... trems and singlecoils... nope they just want a funky shape to stand out abit.
Oh well more cheaper offsets for us to modify!

the bridge looks really weird mounted on the pickguard like that, and im def. not down with the input jacks.
i feel like fender is trying to take back some customers that GFS stole from them recently

I think this was Squier saving money they probably have alot of strat jack plates. This is the only thing preventing me from getting the Jazzmaster. Other than that, these look really nice, especially in blonde. :?

Well, I guess I'll be getting a butterscotch fixed-bridge Jazzmaster pretty soon. Maybe a Jag as well if they offer other finishes.

I might be into getting the jazzy... not sure if I like the finish. I would like to know what other finishes they will offer.... let me guess... black and sunburst right? ::)

On the other hand, another hh jaguar, really? How many hh jags do we need on the market? What makes this any different than a jagmaster other than hard tail and strat jack? Why does Fender consistently think that all jag buyers want to be Cobain and that we all hate the traditional jag tremolos?

It is kind of sad that you can get a more correct jazzmaster copy through gfs than through Squier.

Oh, and one other thing while I am complaining... if you are gonna make a Jag.... find a way to put more damn chrome on it! Jags need chrome!

Lastly, overall I am happy that Fender is continually bringing out more options for us offset lovers. I just wish they would give us more single coil options, give up on humbuckers, and quit making all your pickups "hotter"!

Exactly. Every indie band on the planet got offsets (and/or Tele Thinlines).

I like the idea of a maple neck jazzmaster... I wonder how hard it would be to get a Bigsby happening???
