You may be experiencing an interraction between the paint and your body chemistry. I got my oly strat in 1974 and it turned yellow, mostly where my arm touched it. I have alot of uric acid in my body and when I wear any kind of watch band that isnt staiinless it will corrode like a bastard.
So it may be the guitar is slightly alergic to you!

I don't sweat awhole lot but when I do, my jazzmaster loves it. The nitro finish gets covered in dirt and sweat.
