i was mistaken before--- the guitar pictured is shorline gold, not aztec.....

regardless......whatever is pictured-----that's what i'm thinkin ;)

i think it's down to  black/ mint vs shorline gold/mint.....black is in the lead.

i scored it at thegearpage.net

a good guy decided to revamp his rig, and sold EVERYTHING.....i must have checked the site a minute after he posted.  he was reluctant to ship, but said he could be persuaded.

thank god :)

Congrats! That guy doesn't happen to have a truck load of them does he?  :)

Another vote for gold although I think glimmertwin is onto something. Sherwood green with binding and dots and a white/mint guard would be completely out-of-control-cool. I like black too though. Most of the time I envy you guys picking refin colors but then sometimes, I don't.  ;)

If this Spacemaster is what I think it is keep as is!

As for a refin on the new–Sherwood Green is cool. Not enough of them around.

Nice score Greg!

I would go with black. A white guard would look really nice, but I think I would use the tortoise instead. Like you said though, if you hold onto it, you could always swap it around later on if you wanted.

Awesome deal! Knowing there are deals out there like this means I'll keep looking at ebay and garage sales and pawn shops even though I just splurged on a new one. Whew!

Now, if you're looking to toss out that buzz stop, you should toss it out... into the mailbox, addressed to me :)

I can't help but to concentrate on the headstock hole.... was it once converted to a 7 string?    My color vote is white with white headstock.

thats what i'm thinkin. i like black body's more.....but i'm not sold on the black headstock. i think the gold looks better for both.

I just looked over at my fiance, who's reading on the couch, and told her that tidbit of info. "Oh man...lame" was her responce. Dumbass. Beautiful JM, though.

I like the Aztec Gold with tort guard, though. Black and Oly White is too common.

LONG LIVE THE GOLDEN CHILD!!!

Greg, nice find, as usual, you gear whore.

I'm definitely voting for black. Doesn't get any better than black with matching headstock.

(and before I forget...OT, but you wouldn't happen to have any pics of Epley playing his old JM, would you? Starless era, I think...)

unfortunately sully, i don't have any of those old pics. i saw one somewhere where allen was sporting a jaguar.......i was shocked....

what blows my mind about that guy....is that he's always played the best gear.....great vintage fenders....killer old amps.....

but in the times, he's playing a $129 oscar schmidt.......:)

i can't hold it against him, as it still sounds good. just funny, thats all.

black is in the lead.
