2022 MIJ Late 60s Jaguar: 6.1k neck, 6.1k bridge
2023 Kinko FSR Jaguar: 6.2k neck, 6.4k bridge

V-Mod Jaguar listed as: 8.1 neck, 9.0k bridge
PV65 Jaguar listed as: 6.8k neck, 6.8k bridge
Mine (Late 60s Jag) were not waxed - just in case this gives anything away regarding their origin, etc.

Does anyone know what pickups are in the Kinko FSR model Jaguars? It looks like the new Inca silver models specify it has the PV65 pickups, but the older models do not. I have one of the 2023 Sherwood green models, and I read somewhere that they might be Vmods? I feel like they sound brighter than vmods but not quite as bright as the PV65s, but I’m not sure..
Here's a thread suggesting they are V-mods.

Both the Jaguars and the Jazzmasters for the standard and Kinko FSR models have been listed as "Vintage-Style Single Coil Jaguar/Jazzmaster." The Jazzmasters seem like they might still be V-mods but I'm still not sure about the Jaguars. Here are some DCR comparisons from my Jaguars using a cheap multimeter, and mine are significantly lower output than what V-mods are listed as, which makes me think they may be their own thing.

2022 MIJ Late 60s Jaguar: 6.1k neck, 6.1k bridge
2023 Kinko FSR Jaguar: 6.2k neck, 6.4k bridge

V-Mod Jaguar listed as: 8.1 neck, 9.0k bridge
PV65 Jaguar listed as: 6.8k neck, 6.8k bridge
Appreciate this info.

Has anyone had the chance to try the MIJ Ltd Adjusto-Matic Jazzmaster HH yet?

Gas'ing for it, but it's a pretty penny if it turns out to be meh.

Still cracks me up that it says "with syncronized floating tremolo" on the headstock.

I tried contacting Kurosawagakki, but unfortunately they can't ship new Fenders Internationally (similar to Ishibashi).
Does anyone know of a Japanese retailer that does?

That’ interesting. I bought new from Kinko and have several quotes from Ishibashi and Ikebe for new guitars. I believe they state that the warranty is only good in Japan. With no warranty the guitar is considered used so they can sell/ship anywhere else. Did you go thru the inquiry process by email?

Kinko
Ikebe
Ishabashi

Yes, I sent an e-mail to their international address. However, I did get a response directly from the subsidiary that had the guitar in stock, so that might have influenced the response.

I’ll try again with one of the others, and see what they answer me. Thanks!

Found 4 on the Ikebe site:

Ikebe Adjusto-matic Jazzmaster

Remember the prices stated include 10% local tax which you can deduct, so price would be 140,000 jpy which converts at present to $947! Quite a bit less than Fender’s price of $2249 :w00t:
Of course you have to add shipping and applicable fees depending on where you are and how you pay.

Thanks, I’ve sent them an e-mail, or rather, used their contact form. Fingers crossed :-)

Unfortunately, I got the same response from Ikebe, as Kurosawagakki:

"Due to the dealer agreement with the manufacturer, we do not sell/ship the all new and outlet Fender products to overseas."

Seems like eBay is the way to go, or one of those proxy shopping services.

Looks like Miki Gakki has one in stock and they ship to the US if you reach out to them about it! I actually just received a Jazzmaster from them in the mail today, so super recent experience working with them. They shipped EMS, it was relatively cheap (approx. $250 for shipping and PayPal fees), and arrived in under a week. There’s a contact form for each specific product on the product page, so you can reach out to them there, or at least that’s what I did.

Good find! Love the Lake Placid Blue. Shipping seems high, where are you? My Jag from Kinko was $149 to Hawaii. Included insurance and PayPal fees.

I’m in Chicago so definitely could be more expensive to get it over here! Still ended up being several hundred dollars cheaper all in than trying to get the same guitar on eBay or elsewhere—for the model I bought anyway.

Looks like they're finally doing a P-bass in Sherwood Green w/ matching headstock. IIRC this is the first time they've done it outside of FCS basses. I sent a message to Kinko to see if they're getting any, I haven't seen them anywhere other than digimart and eBay (price inflated).
