ok, i just bought this guitar a few days ago, but it is already my favorite. It really seems like it was made specifically for me. It is really a parts guitar, if ever there was one. The body, pickguard, and bridge are from a '50s duo-sonic. The neck is a '65 slab board 24" scale neck, probably from a duo-sonic II. One pot dates to '72, the other to '76. The original neckplate with the serial number is long gone  :( . One of the pickups is probably really old, but the other is a little newer.
The thing sounds incredible. The tone is like a cross between a Jaguar and a Telecaster. At first I wasn't crazy about the neck, but the more I play it, the more it seems to suit me. I've got a can of ReRanch Olympic White that I'm gonna paint it with.

Well, it took me a while to figure this one out... Since I bought my AVRI Jazzmaster, it has become apparent that this guitar is the one.  It is the sweetest sounding, most fitting guitar I have ever played.  I just beam every time I take it out of the case.  I just can't say enough about it. I guess when I realized it was when I went on vacation.  I took my CIJ Jag with me, which is a great guitar.  I just missed my JM the whole time....  :-* :-* :-*
And with the addition of the witch hats I bought from Doug, it looks great, too!

BTW, this is where I was on vacation... the Columbia River

You guys are all wrong, MY guitar is the best one ever ;).
It's an Electrical Guitar Company Custom 500.  It's aluminum and it's magic.  It's not an offset though, sorry, it wasn't my choice.

I'm working on getting some better pictures.

it's very much a TB500 copy, with the only major difference being the headstock and the fact that the TB doesn't have an aluminum fretboard.

some day i will get me one of these...

I got mine before the prices increased (it was significantly less than $2000 ;)).

So, here is my #1 guitar, a Fender Jazzmaster. I'm not pretty sure about the model, but I think it's a '74. Bought it used a while ago. I'll post some more pics later ;)

Here's another one (the other guitar is a Peavey EVH Wolfgang, bought in 2004):

Are you sure it's a '74? It looks a lot like a CIJ to me, or am I going mad?
