Altar wrote:Fuck sound, it doesn't matter. Most of us put our guitars through shitloads of reverb and fuzz anyways. Poly vs. Nitro will have no REAL effect on the sound of an electric guitar.

But as far as the neck goes, nitro. Please, don't give me poly, none of that crap, I want my nitro. Yummy. And what wears faster and better than nitro? Nothing.

And if you don't like beat to hell guitars, your opinion is inferior and does not matter.

Figured I'd let y'all know that there's a Kalamazoo offset with a whammy bar at the Guitar Center in Chicago (the one on Halsted). Played on it when I was there getting strings yesterday. Wasn't too bad imo.

Hope to have them make me one of these in the next calendar year.

Christ, it's like a Travis Bean Jazzmaster. Could you tell me what model it is please, I can't find it on their site and the filename doesn't help either.

That's a custom one, they build a lot of guitars in other "replica" shapes. Tons of SGs and RDs and Teles get ordered, hahaha. I'm pretty sure they only build to order, so you could get whatever you wanted, the models on the site are just their own standard ones.

Ah yeah, I thought that might be the case, thanks. Surprised they don't have it in their custom gallery though, it's such a gorgeous thing.

Yeah, their site doesn't update with custom builds much. Their FB page posts builds daily, though! So don't go there unless you're ready to lose hours, hahaha.

I am perpetually gassing for an EGC jazzmaster. BTW, is there a forumite who owns an EGC guitar?

This one's one of my favorites, aside from the pickups. A First Act/ EGC hybrid for Kurt Ballou.

Malden Mozak, the original Telemaster. I think this was the first company to produce on back int he late 90's or early 2000's. I can remember seeing small advertisements for this in Guitar world. If I can ever find a white/cream one like below, for sale, I'll probably pick it up.

One other that's been posted on here before and goes for really cheap, a Cort something-or-other...

Eastwood make a replica of the Saturn (which I first saw in the Pictures of You film clip) which is pretty nifty. Actually they do loads of offset guitars.

Unfortunately I haven't posted a picture because I am a bit thick and can't work out how to do it.
