sweeeet!
there was a 70's Hiwatt 4x12 for sale here over the summer, it killed me not to be able to get it.. just like the Custom 50 I missed a year before that
would've been a damn nice rig for me.. oh well
a proper Jazzmaster is going to sound like god through those two amps

The Tele Custom looks sweet in blonde.
Times change. Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky? Now it grows hair! We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger

that inlay either fell out, or didn't stand the test of time.
something weird.

looks good to me.. the things that would concern me aside from what's under the hood is how playable is it for now.. if at all, at the seventh fret? how much will a new marker add to the price? and are the F tuners original to the neck or replacements that required the holes expanded?

that 7th fret inlay bums me out as well.
i've started email techs to find out the cost on something like that.

I think I would buy it at that rpice. If it could be had for about $1800 or so, even better. I bet the missing inlay won't affect playability much. They aren't very thick. Even with it missing, it still wouldn't be as deep as deep as a scallop. The only thing that might feel weird are the square edges from the route for the block. You can buy inlay material and trim and shape it yourself. It doesn't cost much. I wouldn't want to attempt a whole neck, but since all you would need to do is shape one imlay, it shouldn't be too difficult.
