(moved from another topic, sorry...)

...i finally got to dry hump (play without connecting) one of those Mustangs at the Musicstore now and DANG that's a NICE feeling neck/guitar! :derp:
Feels pretty much identical to the neck of my '71 Comp'stang

...why am i GASing so hard if i already have an original?!

The LPB Bass VI looked and felt SPECTACULAR.
Oh and the 60s Telecaster also had a near perfect thin neck, kinda like the one on the Hynde signature :-*
i love delay SO much ...that i procrastinate all the time.

I will also add that the new strings that Fender are selling for the Bass VI are the perfect gauge! I've tried a few different brands (LaBella, Stringjoy, Daddario, etc), but none of them ever have good balance between the strings and have too much tension to use the vibrato well. I've changed the strings on my Squier Bass Vi and now it sounds and feels great.

Alsoooooo, I would love to try the new Fender Bass Vi....

So is the bindining on the neck of the Jaguars painted or is it a real deal? And are the block inlays just painted on top of maple or are the blocks actually inserted to wood?

According to what I’ve read in comments elsewhere, they’re real blocks and binding, not painted a la Squier.

Why would they be painted on the Squiers? Before commenting I've seen zero evidence of them being painted on. It also doesn't make any sense since the laurel boards with block inlays have actual pearloid.

On the Squier 70s Jazz Bass from around 2008, they were painted on. I owned one. Didn’t bother me at all, but they were painted on.
Not sure if current Squier 70s Jazz Bass is still like that. Not sure if they even make that model these days, to be honest.
