If this is all what's new for this year, very disappointing...

Re: NEW Squier Offsets 2017
the mustang with the buckers looks pretty cool and the jagmaster hardtail looks decent though i'm not a fan of colbalt blue and the mustang looks like squier are going back to the mid 2000's with cheap looking pale necks and blue and black finishes! i hated that period with all the showmaster metal guitars, i had really liked the recent output putting out actual jaguars, jazzmasters, mustangs and the bass vi which i never ever thought i'd see under the squier brand, the classic vibe line i thought was absolutely fantastic and in my opinion the offsets should have been in this line, i also think squier should have a prototype line to put out limited runs much like fender did with the pawnshop series as i think the jarman guitars have proved theres a market there for it, i also think if squier are going to re-use parts like they seem to be doing with the baritone then at least be creative like fender did with the maverick, to me squier seems to be a bit lazy in it's new stuff.
it's about time we saw a squier xii or fender xii for that matter, i find it a bit bizarre when you have all these budget brands with 2 or 3 different electric 12 string guitars but a big name like fender and squier don't have a single electric 12 model in production, i along with many others here would snap up an electric xii reissue in an instant yet they are being lazy and just giving us more of the same. i just think there's a lot of potential being constantly wasted!

Re: NEW Squier Offsets 2017
Just read this entire thread, so far.
These suck! That baritone should be regular scale. Or full bass scale. And have a trem. And a Mastery bridge. And be any colour, other than the ones it is! Nitro Surf Ocean Burgundy metallic pink flake reverse target burst, anyone?!? AMIRIGHT?!
It totally needs three pickups! What the hell am I gonna do with just two?! I seriously wish it had clay dots and not blocks. But with binding. A compound radius would be killa! Oh! And speaking of killer... a kill switch button toggle thingie (or two)! But it's gotta be on the upper horn. A fuzz, delay, reverb, overdrive and treble booster circuit would be cool too if it had a hidden pickup behind the bridge. You know what really gets me?! Why doesn't their entire lineup have locking tuners?! C'mon Squier when the hell are you going to get it right? Even the pickguard shape looks ever so slightly off!!
I dunno... $300 is just way too much for what it is and the quality probably isn't great. But I've read on the internet that some are really great quality. Still.. i wish they were cheaper. I'll still get one - it'll make an awesome modding platform tho! First order of business is to replace all of the electronics and change the scale to short scale, jag-style. Does anybody know if a Spitfire MIJ jag pickguard with custom Bass VI plates will fit on this?
Also... anybody know where I can get a legit Fender logo?
Edit: I just read these don't even come with a case!
WTF

Re: NEW Squier Offsets 2017
Apart from the red one, when Squier first announced they were releasing offsets a few years ago, I expected them to be like these ones. Cheap affinity style with hardtails and strat trems.
I reckon they will be fun to modify, and at least they got the body and pickguard shapes correct.

Re: NEW Squier Offsets 2017
You have fully demonstrated that you are a tedious trolling arse with absolutely nothing to say beyond posting your juvenile, posted a million times before, memes. I get it, you are probably very young but you know, even then that's no excuse. I totally get that you are some sort of clichéd fratboy forum dullard with nothing original to say beyond posting your pictures of Keanu Reeves or whatever but people who know more about guitars (and banter) that you ever will have actually stopped posting in a thread because of your meme diarrhoea and yet you still do it. I can only imagine what a card you are in real life, folk probably cross the road to avoid you, your novelty socks and ironic tee shirt.
I'm not Larry's 'mate', he just wouldn't say any of those things and since he not around I feel someone should say something. IIRC he wouldn't transmogrify Squier water into Fender wine, complain about dots, about the price being too expensive, ask for unusual colours, inbuilt effects, a Mastery as standard or even buy a fucking Squier in the first place but don't let the facts get in your way.
The day you make anything like the contribution Larry has made to this forum is a very long way away. I might not agree with everything he said but his opinions were a pleasure to read, well written, creatively argued and often wickedly funny, all of which seem beyond you.

Parry's whole (very funny) bit was all the shit that everyone says about squiers every single time.
Like David said, that's got fuck all to do with Larry, for the exact reasons he gave.
