I like to loosen the nut all the way, put the guitar in a vise, and then wail on the neck with a 10 lb sledge in the direction I want it to go. Then I apply max gorilla torque to the truss nut until the anchor breaks loose, then back it off a quarter turn....
PERFECT!
i was gonna use dynamite, but ill try this first...

i think im gonna get a short scale jaguar neck and try that. i think the trussrod is broken and its not worth fixing because i paid nothing for this guitar.
would a short scale neck be compatible with this guitar?

Or since you are going to be a guitar tech you could use it as a cheap learning tool.
Why should we buy postage stamps? We can make our own.

not if the original neck is 25.5, the bridge would have to be moved. but warmoth have conversion necks, perhaps
this one would be of interest (CBS headstock, gibson scale).

That part is key! You don't want any more preload than necessary.
Justin
(better throw this out there for good measure

)
Now count every rhododendron in this cool mountain light, I made more mistakes than that just tonight
