Re: LarryMal,
I read that a little differently. I have been on Larry's side many a time when we've told all the people whining over price/color/options to pipe down. Whether it's USA, Japanese, or Mexican Fenders, and all the Squiers, there is a fairly regular group of people will bitch and moan about them. They are all Internet marketing, retail, and international business experts of course.

To both Larry crusaders up there: don't take stuff you read on web forums too seriously, kids. Some people have a sense of humor. Stay safe and out of drugs too.
Larry would be so proud of you two, tho :') holding hands and all for his cause! So cute :')

I'm not nuts about any of these new Squier offsets. The white tremolo tip on the JMJM is really bugging me and the mustang looks like an ugly version of the Pawn Shop model that was out a few years ago. I can see the HH Jazzmaster doing well, though.

I'd be into this Jagmaster (or is it maybe an Affinity JM?). Need something cheap with humbuckers in my collection.

I dig baritones, it looks like a different model to the antigua only one, which i think had the mistake of being antigua only.
I don't like tune-o-matics though, I like trems. but it would be cool to stick a bigsby on it.

No matter how you try to clown on anybody here, Parry's post doesn't describe Larry's comments on this subject over the years at all. The shoe don't fit. Trying to make fun of anyone who points that out doesn't make it fit, either. If you wanna make sport of Larry every chance you get, know your enemy at least, or he won't be the one who looks stupid.
This is an excellent rectangle

I had assumed it was just a black version of the existing Antigua one. You think it's got a different bridge? I can't really make it out from the somewhat blurry picture.

I'm seeing two thing, the original bridge that was used on the baritones, or a tuneomatic style. The picture, to my eyes, lends itself to the tuneomatic side.

I actually really dig the red/gold/black combo. Black/gold/black would be better and pretty easy to do on the cheap.
Red/gold/black reminds me of an old strat refin I saw once in a pawn shop a long time ago. One of the only strats to ever make me drool.
Det er mig der holder traeerne sammen.

dont know if this has been brought up yet but dont these all remind you of the early 2000's squiers? ugly colours (even some of the same as the early 00's ones)? stark woods? general lack of creativity? i even got a weird twinge of depressing, disappointed nostalgia when i saw the picture in the original post.
like the new "baritone" jazzmaster colour...
like the new mustang...

I just don't understand why even release this type of stuff all the time? Like it's clear what the demand is...people flipped it for the classic vibes, the j mascis...I know it's squier and there are constraints, but I mean those 2017 models are so bad.
I would love for squier to do a limited run of some offsets with classic features and the custom colors (lake placid blue etc) I think everyone would go nuts for them. Wouldn't expect the guitars to be perfect but would definitely be much more interested than hooker nail polish blue and other meh features
