Just got this from my sales guy at sweetwater

"Fender tells us that they have stopped making the JM and we will only receive a small number of the ones we ordered"

Now - I assume that he is referring to the Sherwood models instead of Fender retiring the MarrGuar....

So grab one of you can.

If fender limits this to 200 then it is no wonder they are in debt. That is just a bad business decision. I think 500 would allow the people who really want one to get one and would still be "limited" enough.

I'm in LA at the moment, was hoping by the time I was out here the shops would have received them, but obviously too early!

A band mate works in a music store in the UK who are expecting one of these in their shop. Luckily he's gave me the heads up so I've told him to keep it on layaway until I see it then I'll decide. I already have the Olympic White one, but I think I'm going to snag the green one as it's a beauty in the photos. I'm going to try and justify keeping both by putting AV 65 pickups in the white one.

How can I say no to one of these...

Certainly one of those guitars that change colour in different lights...

I do enjoy reading about right handers fretting over the availability of a guitar. Especially a Fender.

I feel quite lucky. My first post and I'm happy to say after years of looking at Jags and Jazzmasters that I've now fully stepped into the world of guitar after being a bassist since I was a young teenager. The Jaguar basses look ok, but the guitar is where it really belongs.

Now I've got a Sherwood Green Metallic Marrguar on order. Andertons offered me a great price.

Johnny Marr has always been an inspiration since I first heard The Smiths as a kid.

I've also picked up a semi hollow MIJ Fender Jaguar Special Edition thin line in the big Andertons sale. It is LOVELY.

Marrguar will be about 3-4 weeks.

Next, the new Classic 60's Lacquer Surf Green Jazzmaster.

Those semi jags are crazy cheap. Some amazing deals have been available on fenders in the uk at the moment. I just got a American vintage 69 Tele Thinline for £750.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you manage to get it for?

Ay, apparently Fender UK found a batch of semi hollow guitars they needed to sell, (basically forgotten about). I picked up one of those Teles as well! I was about to buy an American Standard for £1100 and got the AVRI for a lot cheaper.

Coming from bass, you guitar guys have SO much more interesting choice. I love a nice Fender P, J or a Musicman bass, but guitars are just easier and cheaper to buy! (Depending on manufacturer etc).

Wow. Has anyone got/seen one of these yet? Anybody got any good news? I noticed today that the one Thomann had is not listed on their website anymore.

It's starting to sound like these are truly limited...that will make me very happy if I get one, but if I don't I'll get over it...
