alas, now I'm told by cme that fender has emailed them that it will deliver at the end of october. when i pawned my tm jazz and my vox to prepay one back in early august, fender had told cme it would deliver in august. frustrating, and now miss my tm. maybe should have kept it. maybe should have bought apple stock. maybe fender decided to make more of these coveted sherwoods. maybe there was an issue with the production and couldn't ship as was. who knows. well crafted guitars aren't easy to make and take time. i am going to put 11's on mine and keep the bridge stock, instead of a mastery, as on my ko. spit some tort on it. chip it up. already have my purple owl strap for it. keep it as my alternate tunings guitar. i imagine looking down at the sherwood green metallic offset and already see the riffs being written on them thru my drri with an ocd overdrive and strymon flint reverb clicked on. maybe a little earthquaker delay. she will like the capo on the second or fourth fret. both pickups in series. or is that parallel? don't know. just that it will be ethereal to my ears.

I just checked with Dave's and was told the same thing about late October. Not a big deal for me, although I am now even more curious about the ones that apparently made it to Europe, especially the one Thomann had. I wonder if they're making more?

I was told by Bananas (where I was finally able to make an order) that they would receive in store October 1st.

Just saw a sherwood green* one today in Wunjo's Denmark Street if anyone's interested. The guy there said there were 95 made, and they were lucky to get one.
It was really really nice, by the way.

I don't think anyone knows how many were made...I just wonder if this recent delay in the US means that they are making more of them? "Patience grasshopper."

It does appear that a few of them made it overseas, though. Funny that they come from the US and make it to Europe first, but I guess that's only fair every once in a while. ;)

Andertons in the uk now say 13 November. I'm sure they'll be a quantity out around 6th October, the date Johnnys new album is out.

Aye, they mentioned that to me...a long wait but worth it.

Anyone off to see JM at the Newcastle 02 Academy?

Great. Yeah he was fantastic last year. I've always respected him, and liked his playing, but seeing him front a band made me realise what a fantastic player he really is.

I've got my tickets as I went down as soon as they were on sale...I suspect this year his popularity as a solo artist has grown.

I saw him at the deaf institute a couple of years ago. That was pretty special.

Deaf institute is a great venue! Would've loved to have seen johnny there. On another note I met Nick McCabe (verve genius guitar man) there at his new bands gig. Top top fella !

Sorry to go off topic... :)

For all I know he's English, so still European. It would be silly if they were available in the US first. ;D ;)
