Re: Johnny Marr Sig Jaguar
I'm going to give it more thought. I might pick up another thinline MIJ instead...the current one I have it what made me fall for the Jaguar feel/sound/style. I personally like the quirks of the Jag. Yes, the string has slipped on the bridge (only once) but it wasn't a big deal. The tremelo works as I want it to.
The finish on my MIJ thinline is so superb its unreal. Super glossy sunburst and very pretty binding. It's a nice light to mid weight and has that extra acoustic quality due to the thinline aspect. I know its overkill to have two but I could mod one and leave one stock.
I hope Fender make an American Standard or a Deluxe with some of the common mods.

Can't beat a bit of Twin Peaks.CastrosfriendChe wrote:^ he was clearly chloroformed and this ungodly guitar was passed around through many a hand. He's clearly going through one of the stages of grieving...denial.
Look for the man with the miniature texan belt buckle! (geez I've really been watching too much Twin Peaks of late)
On another note, I found one of these green beauties in the US. Saved a few $$$ there. Though as the aussie dollar drops...it's starting to creep up

As much as I like the Sherwood Green, I'm hoping this will flood the market with beat up white ones for cheap!

That kind of thin finish on Marr Jaguars aren't shocking, most forum members screamed for more thinskin models, Fender likely felt it was a nice experiment for the ever changing artist series.
I wouldn't hold out much hope for a flood of beaten up earlier Marr Jaguars, Sherwood Jags are a very limited run and if any buyers owned a previous one is likely going to keep their older Marr Jag as a road/beater guitar and enjoy their rare Sherwood as a collectors item.

Duh. Has this thread turned into "Musicman20's Should I, Shouldn't I?" thread.

Since this place is pretty quiet anyway (and I am very anxious!)...Greta, any chance we can get more pictures of yours? Hope you're loving it! I am really curious if the color is a more accurate lighter, more variable green, or if it's the newer forest-ish green. Pics certainly make it look like the lighter one!
